Tom's Bar

Never bothered going to the now 'in'famous bar! My friend in berlin also tells me no one else goes unless you've been reading too many history books and just come over on the banana boat.

What a disgusting place!Bar staff OK, but this guy at the cloakroom should be sucked immediately.Had to wait till 1am as they open darkroom. Until then I had to inhale cigarettes fumes for 2 hours, because there was no door to smoking area.Finally famous darkrooms - NO doors in the cabins , few dark corners ( where all people gathered , was completely pitch - black ), and of course people were smoking even there. Worst place I've ever been to, ugly, old people, or other shady characters wandering around. Don't go there, there are other places in Berlin worth visit.

tOMS SHOULD BE CALED ADOLPHS If you care about teh respecto to other people, about the values of non discrimination, you should never go to Toms, and ask any body not to go there. Gay people, and poeple in Schöneberg, in particular, and in Germany in General should be activ agais segregation. I was expelled from the club just becuase of mi looks, i look arab for some and jew for some others, it is a Shame with the history of Germany, wiht what hapend to gay men in the Nazi Germany, tahta a Gay Place in the Hard of the Gay Mecca of teh World, and with that fame acts like this. Toms has to chance of actitude or has to be punished by teh csotumers with some concience. TOMS IS A REPRODUCER OF SOME NASTY AND CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR IN THE THERTIES, IT SHOLD CHANGE NAME IT SOHOUND NO LONGER TO BE CALLED tOMS IT SHOULD BE CALLED ADOLPHS

The most arogant staff, rejecting me on a lazy sunday night before I even got my overcoat off, so they could see I am following the dresscode. I am previus board member of Scandinavian Leather Man Club Copenhagen and also member of ECMC. Shame on Toms Bar and their staff.

A nice bar to visit also on al regular evening/night. But last sunday the 23 october 2011 I complained to the barman why the darkroom was not open. He told me that it was not busy enough...(on that moment +/- 30 people) That's is strange for a cruise bar. But still a nice place to visit.

Very nice bar. Friendly and beautifull men and boys. Exiting and big darkroom. Good beer ,"Becks" for 3 euro, half a liter.Staff is very friendly. Best night is Saturdaynight after midnight. Most famous gaybar of Berlin!

Berlin is a great city. BUT !
We had very bad experiences in this bar while visiting Berlin around Sylvester 2011. Gay tourists should avoid visiting this bar.
Be aware there are people in the bar who will offer you drugs and s*x in dark room with young boys! At least one young door dog (doorman) jointly with barmen would engage you in conversation hopping to find out if you are interested having s*x with young boys/ youth in darkroom (apparently they are able to organize for impressed people some kind of paid special s*x in the second part of darkroom)

Our dear germany friends did warrn us from visiting TOM's Bar. Be aware of ill hustlers visiting TOM's Bar

2-3 Barkeeper und Türstehr sehr ignorant!
Stammgäste werden immer häufiger mit der barschen Aussage wie " private Club" abgewiesen. Wie ich von einem ehemaligen Türsteher erfahren habe, soll Offenbar in Tom´s „Step by Step“ nur noch Ahnungslose Touristen und Stricher hineingelassen werden. Ausnahme soll nur montags (2 for 1) und Wochentage bilden, wo die Bar so gut wie leer ist!

NASTY. Over-rated. Ignorant doorman, inattentive bartender, expensive beer. DON'T GO, there are so many better places.

Somewhat busy darkroom downstairs. It also seemed like a good hangout spot. I wasn't that impressed with the clientile. Everything just seemed average to me.

Great place to go all nights. Staff is very friendly. good visitors!!!

Good hangout-pub and see if you can find that hot tourist (or german)

Popular bar with dance music. Can be crowded on fridays, less crowded on saturdays and early evenings.

On our visit the most noticeable feature was the overpriced drinks. At least double what we had paid in the other bars we visited.
